What is the uniform policy? 

At SIS, our students are expected to follow our uniform policy: 

• Color-Appropriate polo top
  • Red for 6th-8th grade, Navy Blue for 9th-11th grade, and Black for 12th grade
• SIS Spirit/College shirts are allowed on Fridays
• Navy/Khaki bottoms must be worn every day

How do the bell schedules work? 

We operate on an alternating block schedule, below is an example of what that looks like:

• A Day: Period 1, Period 2, Period 3, Period 4
• B Day: Period 5, Period 6, Period 7, Period 8
  • Each class is 1 Hour and 30 minutes long

Is school bus transportation offered? 

Transportation is offered by HISD as long as: 

• You must live within HISD District boundaries
• You live more than 3 miles from the campus you will be attending (if you live within 3 miles, this is considered walking distance by HISD)
• Private bus transportation is also an option
